Calling all dog lovers in Fishtown: Doggie Style Pets is thrilled to announce a brand new partnership with ACCT Philly, Philadelphia's only open-intake animal shelter. This means we can help even more of Philadelphia’s homeless pets find their forever homes!

Through this partnership, our Fishtown location will be piloting a new program where rescue dogs from ACCT Philly will be available to adopt right at our store. Come visit us, meet some amazing pups, and maybe even find your furry soulmate.

Doggie Style Pets in partnership with Saved Me Animal Rescue has adopted out close to 13,000 dogs in need.

“Our goal at Doggie Style Pets was always to help make it so you could buy great products for your pet and adopt a new best friend all in one place," said Howard Nelson, CEO of Doggie Style Pets. “This year has been extremely difficult for shelters everywhere, especially open intake ones like ACCT Philly. When looking for how we could have the biggest impact in helping homeless pets in our own communities, ACCT Philly was a natural choice.

“This partnership will enable us to have dogs in all different parts of Philadelphia looking for homes, making it easy and even more accessible for people to adopt a homeless pet in need." We’re so grateful to Doggie Style Pets for seeing the need to help local pets and providing us with this opportunity to save more lives.” 

The Fishtown Doggie Style Pets location will be the pilot location for the program, with the plan that once it is operating smoothly there it will expand to other Doggie Style Pets locations after that. Like all dogs adopted from ACCT Philly, the dogs available for adoption at the stores will all have their vaccines, be microchipped and spayed/neutered. Doggie Style Pets is generously donating the staff time to provide care to the dogs onsite, and customers can make donations directly to ACCT Philly when checking out.
